New school decked out
John Ferneley High School, the new £14.6million college in the picturesque market town of Melton Mowbray, has used John Brash’s innovative JB Antislip Plus decking to create a safe, slip resistant surface for pupils. The decking was fitted by Tanbry Construction, a Mansfield- based building and joinery company that works across the public and commercial sectors. JB Antislip Plus was specified by the architectural firm White Design Sustainable Architecture due to its robustness and slip resistant qualities, which will improve health and safety levels as well as enhancing the attractiveness of the school’s

Proof of fire performance
An audience recently witnessed a small scale fire test designed to prove Arch's fire retardant treatments perform as well as claimed when compared to untreated timber.Richard Adams, Fire Retardants Manager for Arch, carried out a small fire test which demonstrated how well Non-Com Exterior fire retardant protection will perform. The point was well made when one member of the audience placed his hand adjacent to the treated test panel
