Two new annual flower seed mixtures launched to brighten up landscapes.
Limagrain UK has launched two annual flower seed mixtures which can provide stunning colour to landscapes including golf courses and park flower beds as part of a new Colour Splash range. Trialled in the UK, the Colour Splash range consists of two flower mixtures: Jour de Fete and Douce France. These are best sown in the spring and do not require fertiliser or pesticides. Both Colour Splash mixtures are supplied in 400 grams (0.1 hectare) metallic cans which can sow approximately 500 to 1000 m2. Jour De Fete provides a tall annual mixture with good drought tolerance, which will attract a multitude of insects and butterflies. It contains five species: Centaurea mixed, Cosmos Bipinnatus Sensation, Cosmos Sulfurates, Zinnia Sunbow and Tithonia Torch. It provides colour from July to October. The Douce France is a dwarf annual mixture which competes well against weeds and survives on better soil types, also containing five species: Centaurea Polka Dot, Zinnia Sunbow, Cosmos Trianon, Eschscholtzia, South Pacific Beauty. It is suitable for a June to October display of flowers.

Better Safe Than Sorry
Working beyond the limits of equipment on steep inclines could be a thing of the past following the introduction of Tiltmaster to the UK groundcare sector. The three different models available can be quickly fitted to any machine providing a constant supply of working angle information to ensure the operator stays working safely within their machines capabilities. The three different models are Tiltmaster C for Compact Tractors (0-15 degrees), Tiltmaster D (0-25degrees) and Tiltmaster Extreme for specialist machines (0-45 degrees).
