Along the northern Cascade Range, 150-miles northeast
of Seattle, the Methow Valley Winter Triathlon will be
held in Winthrop, Wash. on March 6. Although Mount
Bachelor in Bend, Ore. hosted the Winter Triathlon National
Championships in 2008 and 2009, Soldier Hollow will host the
2010 Winter Triathlon National Championships on January 16.
This affords many Pacific Northwest athletes a venue close to
home to compete for a national title.
The region is developing and accepting bids for a 2010
USA Triathlon Pacific Northwest Winter Triathlon Regional
Championship. Individuals interested in getting involved with
the championship or the winter triathlon committee should
