InterContinental opens in Kyiv
UKRAINE International hotel operator InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has opened
a new hotel in Kyiv – InterContinental Kiev. The 11-storey building was designed by

Grand opening in Varna
BULGARIA The 5-star Grand Hotel Dimiyat has opened in Varna. The investor be-
hind this €10.5m project is Bulgarian businessman Dimitar Lefterov, the owner of
the Laguna holiday estate in the Golden Sands resort. The 14-storey hotel, which is
located in the centre of Varna, will also contain an office section, a casino and a
restaurant on the two highest floors.
