nimal Haven, an agency which has been helping home-
less cats and dogs in the Greater New Haven Area since
1948, will hold its annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction on
Wednesday, March 11. WPLR Radio Personality, Pam Landry,
will be the special guest host of the event, which is scheduled
from 6 to 9 p.m. at Aunt Chilada’s Restaurant in Hamden. The
evening will feature wine selections from California, Chile,
and Italy, as well as Samuel Adams beer tastings and refresh-
ments provided by Aunt Chilada’s. Among the variety of silent
auction items up for bid will be tickets and passes to local at-
tractions, gift baskets, artwork, autographed books and more.
There will also be door prizes and a raffle. Advance tickets may
be purchased at Animal Haven or Aunt Chilada’s Restaurant.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit The Animal Haven

whose mission is to provide a safe, caring and humane refuge
for unwanted adoptable animals, and to insure quality adop-
tive homes. The agency promotes public involvement for the

on display. The program is free and open to all ages. Refresh-
ments will be served.
Menunkatuck Audubon Society is a local chapter of the Na-
tional Audubon Society serving the towns of Madison, Guilford,
Branford, East Haven, New Haven, and West Haven. Members
