them and they trust you. That really helps
me feel comfortable being who I am out on
the court and leaving it all out there.
For us, this is our Duke team. We need to
establish our own identity and leave our
own mark. This is what we all wanted to
do as kids, so we should have fun and be
passionate every day, have no regrets. We
aren’t missing anything as a team, and we
feel we’re in the national championship mix
and can win a lot of games this year. We
obviously still have a lot of work to do, but
we know we can be a really, really good team.
Outside of one game, I think this team
has been really hungry and fearless. Our
defense has been great. Those are
qualities I’ve tried to incorporate in my
game also because those are the things
you need to do to win, have success in the
ACC, and play deep into March and April.
