For me, I’ve always taken pride in doing the
things that help my team win the game. I
don’t pay attention to shooting as much. I
think you shoot better if you pay attention
to the little things and focus on doing those
things really well. You need to make the extra
passes, you need to go to the boards, you
need to move and play off each other, and
you need to get the ball in the right people’s
hands at the right time. I always pay close
attention to the guy I am guarding and do
everything the game plan says so we can
shut him down. After the game, I look at
my assist-to-turnover ratio, and my assists
better be higher than my turnovers.
Ultimately, I want to be myself in every
game, not thinking too much, not being
passive. Not that I was last year
or my freshman year, but at times I
would defer a little bit. I just wasn’t
myself 100 percent of the time. For me,
