wherever that takes me, it’s going to take
me, but I want to be myself 100 percent
of the time, be relentless and just go after
it every game. Wherever that takes me
personally, I’ll be okay with that.
My family has played a huge role in who I am
out on the court. I think the one thing I
give them the most credit for and am most
thankful for is that they never pushed me
to play basketball because it was important
to them or put pressure on me. They were
always unconditionally supportive of me.
If I needed a kick in the butt, they would
give it to me but it would be for the right
reasons. Because of that, my love of the
game really grew and it was meant to be. It
wasn’t a forced thing. It was genuine. My
dad and I would always go to the gym and
shoot together but it was always supportive
and something I wanted. He wasn’t
critiquing me all the time. That is something
I am really thankful for and it has really
helped me grow into the basketball player I
