1. IT’S THE BEST CLASS AT DUKE
The main reason all of us are managers is
because we get to take the best class at

Duke. We learn so many life lessons while
attending our team meetings and practices.
Coach K often uses analogies and makes
references about the business world, the
classroom, leadership and life beyond
basketball. We learn quickly that the things
that make you a winner in basketball --
competing, having standards, taking pride,
giving your best every day -- provide the
ELITE FACTS
same formula for success in life.
2. IT’S A FULL-TIME JOB...
During the season, we spend at least 40
DUKE FANS
hours working each week excluding team
travel (juniors and seniors travel with the
team). In the offseason, we assist with

individual player workouts and spend half
of our summers working our youth camp
and the K Academy. Essentially, our goal
is to plan and prepare at the highest level,

eliminating every possible distraction so the
players can play and the coaches can coach
without any distractions or surprises.

traveled all over the country (including

ACC. We also have enjoyed hundreds of

getting to be a part of the team. Coach K has

the Duke program succeed serves as a
great foundation for friendships. We never
imagined that our closest college friends
