am. My competitive side I think
comes from my Mom. She always
has been so competitive. Even when
playing a board game at home, she
really wants to win. I just really
hate to lose and so you have to learn
what it takes to be a winner.
My coaches, teammates and the
people around me at Duke have helped
me do that and it all starts with good
relationships and honesty. For me,
Coach K’s not only my basketball
coach but he’s been a mentor to
me off the floor. He’s always
been there for me for everything,
whether it be basketball, academics
or family. So that’s the first thing
with Coach. It’s not just a coach-
player relationship. Also, one of the
things I respect the most about
Coach that I’ve learned in my first
two years and moving forward, he’ll
