Artificial intelligence is simply a computer doing a task normally done by a human. Generative AI is a type of AI that collects data, looks for patterns, and produces new information.


So, generative AI for healthcare is a lot like a healthcare provider who collects all your symptoms and diagnostic tests to look for known patterns that suggest a diagnosis and treatment.


The main difference is that AI can generate a suggested diagnosis or treatment based on much more information in much less time.
