2025 Year in Pictures

2025 will always be remem- bered. On Inauguration Day, pres-

A

ident No. 47 and 45 declared: “The golden age of America begins right now.” And so it seemed. In the

first 100 days of his second term, Donald J. Trump signed a tsunami of 143 executive orders — more than any other president ever. His political foes never quite seemed to recover. Trump and his handpicked

team soon accomplished what his opponents had dismissed

year of unforget- table historic firsts and miraculous come- backs — that’s how

as impossible: shutting down the border and bringing the influx of illegal immigrants to a screeching halt. Thousands of criminal aliens were sent back to their native countries. Trump then went on a cam-

paign to make the U.S. mili- tary great again, first knock- ing out Iran’s nascent nuclear capability with the strike at Fordow, then strong-arming Hamas into a ceasefire deal that repatriated the remaining Israeli hostages. Beyond a year of celebrated triumphs, 2025 also saw many precious lives lost. The brutal public martyrdom of Charlie Kirk was horrific — and the re- luctance among some to con-

demn the violence even more so. Yet even from the grave, Charlie breathed life into lost Gen Zs, who in the wake of his assassination began profess- ing the Christian faith and re- turning to traditional Ameri- can values like no generation before them. Will 2025 indeed mark the

advent of a new golden age for America? It’s probably too soon to say. But with a new pope in

the Vatican, a federal gov- ernment shutdown, multiple natural disasters, and the thrills of victory playing out on our athletic fields, it’s cer- tainly been a year to remem- ber! — David Patten
