David Horowitz Sees ‘Radical’ Wave
In his new book, bestselling author warns nation is in dire straits.

he ink had already dried on bestselling author David Horowitz’s latest book when thousands of students attend-
ing some of the most elite universities in the country took to the streets to pro- test Israel’s war on terror group Hamas — a development that only further illus- trated Horowitz’s conviction that the “woke” left is destroying the U.S. In the New York Times bestselling
author’s latest book, The Radical Mind: The Destructive Plans of the Woke Left, Horowitz exposes what he considers the dangerous agenda of a “woke” mob and details what society needs to do to prevent the country from falling into even more disarray. “Our country is in dire straits at the moment,” Horowitz said. Raised by card-carrying commu-
nists, Horowitz is familiar with the left’s playbook. And he contends it is rooted in malice, seeks to destroy individual freedom, and desires to twist history. Horowitz pointed out how last year’s congressional hearing on antisemitism at Ivy League colleges showed that the most prestigious higher education insti- tutions in the nation did nothing to stop or address rampant antisemitism on campus — something that he calls a good representation of the current “state of our country.” “We have tens of thousands of young people at our elite universities and in

the streets of our major cities calling for another Holocaust to exterminate the Jews,” he said. In a way, Horowitz said that those
calling for another intifada, or an uprising of a resistance movement, are worse than the Nazis because they openly promote their plan to get rid of Jews. He refers to how Adolf Hitler hid
from the German people the “Final Solution,” which was his name for the mass extermination of Jews. “Hitler thought the Germans were
too civilized to accept the plan to exter- minate a whole people,” Horowitz said. “The Arabs, on the other hand, who are conducting a 75-year war — their overt purpose is to exterminate the Jews of the Middle East, from the river to the sea, where the state of Israel exists.” He said this “Nazi mentality” has
been adopted in U.S. universities. While conservatives are looking at
the protests with disbelief, Horowitz said the sentiment is representative of an education and political system that has been totally taken over by leftists.
Because he was brought up in the
leftist movement, he said he under- stands that confronting them with facts is “useless” because the left is fi ghting an “ideological battle.” When it comes to the Israeli-Pal-
estinian confl ict, for example, he said facts are ignored. He points out that Palestine is mere-
ly a “geographical reference” and not a state or a people. “There were no Arabs calling them-
selves Palestinians in 1948 when Israel was created and attacked by fi ve Arab dictatorships,” Horowitz said. He also notes that Israel wasn’t cre-
ated on a “square inch of Arab terri- tory” but was born out of the “ruins of the Turkish Ottoman Empire.” Ultimately, Horowitz believes those
on the left embrace a “racist ideology” and the “main target” is white people. His book discusses what Horowitz
considers to be the “fi rst time white people became a target in this country” — when the radical left-wing militant organization the Weatherman held a “War Council” in Flint, Michigan, in December 1969 and opted to change into an underground organization that would commit sabotage against the
