These foods protect your nerves and can help form new nerves to reverse aging in the brain, he wrote. Strengthen your bones and muscles. This helps with anti-aging by pre- venting you from becoming frail. Reduce your stress. Stress makes your heart work harder and the best solution for that is to take a nap! You’ll feel rested while in- creasing your longevity. Stop eating when you are 80% full. If you eat to the point you are com- pletely full it can slow your me- tabolism, Dr. Oz has written. This technique helps promote a me- tabolism that protects cells from aging.
Eat 7 walnuts a day. The key here is that walnuts contain omega-3s, which protect blood vessels, which in turn keeps the heart healthy. Dr. Oz says this simple tip can add

Go to bed an hour earlier every night. The doctor cites some scary statis- tics behind this advice: Every hour of sleep we lose increases the risk of developing high blood pressure by 37 percent, and that increases the risk of heart attack and stroke up to 16 times. Laugh. Dr. Oz’s prescription is laughter 20 times a day! He says it boosts immunity and burns calo- ries.
Have sex. Research proves a healthy sex life will make you feel and look younger, he says. Have coffee with friends. The im- portant thing here is to avoid so- cial isolation, which Dr. Oz says is the life-shortening equivalent of smoking 15 cigarettes a day! Get enough vitamin D. Oz has built an impressive media empire. He has a quarterly bookazine, various syndicated columns, radio segments,
numerous best-selling books, and a new podcast under his belt. He is now producing a medical drama
called MD-1, which will follow a team of street doctors who take on major catastrophes in New York, saving lives without ever setting foot in a hospital; it’s being developed for CBS. When The Dr. Oz Show launched in
2009, Dr. Oz’s goal was to get people to care more about their health. That hasn’t changed, but a lot of other things have. Kale went from being a garnish to the base of a salad. Quinoa has been embraced as a healthy alternative to rice. Major
