SWANSEA GRAND THEATRE’S 125th BIRTHDAY GALA
Swansea Grand Theatre celebrates the aforementioned number of years open by showcasing the very best homegrown talent ranging from West End to film and television. For their 125th birthday, attendees can expect an array of musical theatre, comedy, opera, drama, with a live band and a 200-strong female choir.

This autobiographical walking performance, helmed by Dewi Evans, tackles “history, place, family, and madness” in the coastal town of Aberystwyth. Over three hours, on the first Saturday and Sunday of the summer months, Dewi leads a guided tour laced with humour and personal narrative, including the story of how, at his lowest ebb, he was saved by – get this – Judi Dench and Ian McKellen. HOT HOUSE 2022
An annual residency programme for recent arts graduates that aims to help them into professional realms, the Hot House course - developed by and situated at Cardiff gallery MADE - features mentoring and curatorial support from the in-house team, plus external pro artists. They’re currently looking for recent graduates to take part in their programme this August – deadline for applications is Sun 3 July and details of how to apply are at the link below.
