Schooled in northern England but based in Wales since the 1980s, Alastair Duncan’s practise intersects two artistic mediums I’m unaware of anyone else combining. He’s a tapestry weaver who also works with sound art, mainly field recordings, inspired partly by the rhythms generated by the weaving process. As per the exhibition title, the tapestries displayed in this exhibition will have touch-activated audio accompaniment, and Duncan will also be creating an entirely new tapestry during this show’s run.

Cinzia Mutigli The winner of this gal- lery’s annual Wakelin Award presents a multi-dimensional installation titled Sweet Wall. (Until Sun 4 Sept) The Bequest Of William G. Lewis, 2021 Twenty artworks donated to the gallery by Lewis recently, aiming to honour the memory of his late wife Jan. Includes are John Piper prints and works by Glenys Cour, Valerie Ganz and Will Roberts.
