At the recent Plantworx exhibition, Garic launched a number of eco-friendly site welfare products, including a new solar powered drying room (pictured), available in 10ft and 20ft versions. Also unveiled was a 40ft welfare trailer which can accommodate up to 15 workers and incorporates an improved layout, hybrid power and 4G Wi-Fi. It has male and female facilities, with fully flushing toilets.
Eco-friendly Brendon suppressor
Brendon Powerwashers has developed the Dustec DT400 dust suppression unit, which is driven solely by water from a pressure washer, with no electrical supply being required. It can be used with any pressure washer producing 100 to 250 bar at

Welfare Van, which is designed so that the main services, such as kettle, microwave and charging points, are powered solely by energy collected by solar panels. Electricity is stored on an on-board battery which distributes 12V and 240V power.

Wilkinson Star is offering the F-Tech range of fume extraction systems and welding torches, designed to protect operatives from exposure to welding fumes, grinding dust and oil mist in the working environment. The F-Tech Fox is a
portable, high-vacuum system incorporating automatic filter cleaning, and an auto start/stop unit is available to reduce noise levels and energy consumption. The machine will also run two welding torches simultaneously, states the manufacturer.
