Stephill newcomer fuels interest
So new that it does not have a name yet, the latest prototype from Stephill Generators is a mini LED lighting tower powered by a hydrogen fuel cell for silent, emission-free operation. Derived from the
manufacturer’s diesel SLT 5000 model as a concept machine, it is similarly available in trailer-mounted and road-tow versions. It offers a maximum 5.5m mast height, is designed to accommodate four large hydrogen gas bottles, and has been developed in conjunction with Intelligent Energy, a fuel cell technology specialist based in Loughborough.

More power from GreenMech
New from GreenMech is the EVO 165 wood chipper which has been designed to deliver more aggressive torque and increased throughput. The machine has a wide infeed chute, together with
twin horizontal rollers and the manufacturer’s ‘no-stress’ system to grip timber and brash in a manner that controls its lateral movement for greater processing efficiency. Diesel and petrol engine options are available,
designed to meet the requirements of EU Stage V emission regulations. GreenMech also states that the EVO 165 is its quietest machine to date.
