Manitou highlights
Of particular interest on the Manitou stand was the new MLA-6 65H-Z compact articulated wheel loader. Featuring a 45.0kW (65hp) Yanmar diesel engine and a hydrostatic transmission, this 4.4-tonne class machine was equipped with a Whites side-tip loader bucket and a hydraulic PTO allowing the use of a hand-held breaker or cut-off saw, like the Hycon tools shown here. 1350R radial arm skid steer loader was displayed in its new Manitou red branding. The similar platform Gehl loaders retain their brand name and yellow livery, and are sold in the UK through principal dealer, Filtermech.

Mace unveils new screening attachment
Mace Industries has re- designed its Supascreen, which can be attached to its range of conveyors to screen soil, aggregate and other materials on-site. The attachment is now fitted using a system of levers, rather than bolts, for faster deployment. The company believes the product is ideal for landscapers
and builders undertaking tasks like levelling a garden and who need to backfill with topsoil. Rather than having to pay for disposal of the spoil and buying new topsoil, the material can be recycled in situ.
