Not long to go now before the National Craft Butchers (NCB) Annual Meeting being held on Sunday 30th June 2019 at the Grand Hotel, Station Rise, York YO1 6GD.
Following registration at 10.00 am the Annual General Meeting will take place in the Grand Boardroom at 10.30 am where Tony Luckhurst will take
Tony is well known within the industry, as President of London Retail Meat Traders Association and Senior Butcher at The Royal Farms Windsor Farm Shop. This is his second term as National President, having previously held the post in 2001.
Following a short break with refreshments NCB will unveil the new Charcuterie Assured Advice for use by all NCB members signed up to Primary Authority (PA).
With the growing market in charcuterie products the addition of this new advice couldn’t be better timed. NCB Technical Manager Richard
Stevenson says “Paul Hobbs, Principal EHO with our PA partners Horsham District Council, has excelled himself and produced a great guide that will be valued by craft butchers and EHOs alike.”
The morning will also include a presentation from industry expert Jason Aldiss, Managing Director of Eville Jones. Leading providers of out-sourced official veterinary controls and meat inspection throughout England, UK and Europe.
A three-course lunch with wine in the Rise restaurant will follow providing ample opportunity to socialise and mingle while in the afternoon butchery expert Rich Summers of the School of Artisan Food will share his holistic approach
to butchery, focussing on whole carcass butchery and charcuterie.

The afternoon will conclude with tea around 4.00pm.
