For the last several years, lots of trials carried out in collaboration
with European institutes (Soumeh et al., 2015 ; Rondia et al., 2016 ; Gomes et al., 2017 ; Millet et al., 2018) and published at the Journées de la Recherche Porcine have demonstrated that optimal piglet feed intake and growth are obtained at 70% SID Val:Lys. For broilers, thanks to L-Valine, decreasing protein is now less complex without impacting performance. Valine is the fourth limiting amino acid in broiler diets and is deficient in most European countries.

The response to Valine is very high: from 74 to 80% SD Val:Lys, +3.4% ADG and -2.1% FCR. What’s more, low CP diets help to improve meat yields and
meat quality. For more detailed information, please contact your Technical
Sales Manager to visit you and present the new booklets for broilers “Ideal amino acid profile and low crude protein diets for broiler chickens” and for piglets “Amino Acid Balance to Maximize Piglet Feed Intake”.
ANDREW MCSHANE ELECTED AIC CHAIRMAN Andrew McShane has been elected Chairman of the Agricultural Industries Confederation to take over from Nick Major who has held the post for the past two years.
