Van Mourik started in 1990 as a mechanical installation company.
By strategic take-overs and natural growth, the company has become a unique specialised neutral integrator employing 150 FTE with its focus on feed milling and premix process. The clients value our neutral position in the engineering studies and process advice. An example of the approach is a recent request of an independent
client that needs to study an increase of its production by 25%. A dedicated team from van Mourik consisting of process specialists that have their own expertise in mechanical and electro technical control scanned the process of the client. Combined with the clients’ goal Van Mourik makes a future process plan with neutral advice on the equipment. This time it resulted to a concept change from an additional grinding/ mixing tower to an upgrade proposal for an existing production line. Of course, this approach can be the backbone of a bigger
investment in a complete new production line to become future proof. The van Mourik group offers to help clients in the UK and Ireland with this approach to achieve efficiently and effectively their future goals.

C J WATERHOUSE COMPANY Feed Plant Turn-Key Solution C J waterhouse Company have supplied a complete turn-key project for a world leading equine feed supplement manufacturer to increase production and improve quality and traceability. Bulk materials are stored in two external silos and mechanically
dosed into independent 2000Kg internal batch weighers. Semi-bulk materials supplied FIBC’s and are discharged using three dedicated discharge stations. Minor ingredients supplied in 25Kg sacks are manually discharged via the tip station or using the automatic sack emptying system. The semi-bulk and minor ingredient materials are dosed into a common 2000Kg batch weigher. The batch weighers incorporate full length discharge screws which transfer material to the downstream pneumatic conveying system via linear vibratory sieves
and rotary valves. The conveying system uses three separate blowers with bespoke
manifold systems to permit routing of transfer air from any source to any destination line. Batch weighments are then conveyed to a ribbon blender located at high level above a dump hopper. On completion of the mixing sequence the blended product is discharged into the dump hopper ready for its use in the downstream packing systems. This frees up the mixer ready for the next pre-weighed batch to be transferred. The batch is then mechanically conveyed to either the bulk bag filling system or an automated 25Kg sack filling line. Plant control is provided via a central automation panel incorporating recipe handling and production scheduling. This project was supplied as a truly turn-key solution from concept specification to installation.
