GAME ENGINEERING A storage problem solved by Game Engineering A north Lincolnshire based pig feed manufacturer, was facing a fairly serious feed manufacture and supply problem. The requirement from their farms and from other clients had reached the point where delivery dates were being missed. Project managers realised that the only solution was greater storage for the feed main ingredient, soya meal, and after a short tendering process chose the system suggested by Game Engineering. The Game Engineering

solution to the problem centred on the supply and installation of two new 80 tonne external silos. These would effectively free-up large in-mill storage bins that

had been used for Soya meal so that they could be used for other feed ingredients. Work started in March 2018 with the delivery and installation of

the silos. A series of hoppers and screw conveyors, which are rated at 60 tonnes per hour, handle the discharge from the silos to the existing weigher which needed minor modification. As the design of the system meant that the new silos would be an extension of the existing intake system there were considerable cost savings. A representative for the company, the Mill & Transport Manager

said: “I must say everything from quotation, install, through to completion of the works has been carried out in a very professional manner. I will have no hesitation in using or recommending GAME Engineering Ltd in the future.” For more information please contact Game Engineering on 01522 868021 or sales@game-engineering.com
