More than 500 customers across South Wales discovered that it was the right time to buy a brand new home with Taylor Wimpey last year. With schemes like Part Exchange, Easymover and Help to Buy widely available through Taylor Wimpey, along with interest rates remaining low, there is plenty of help available for prospective homebuyers. Tere are over 500 energy-efficient and low- maintenance homes available to buy at Taylor Wimpey developments across the region in 2017, which means it really is a great time to buy a new home. First-time buyers – who accounted for 38% of Taylor Wimpey’s customers in 2016 – and those with a property to sell will find conditions particularly favourable at the moment thanks to the availability of Help to Buy. Te initiative was used by 39% of Taylor Wimpey’s customers last year and is open to both first time buyers and those moving up the property ladder. Eligible purchasers can access a Government loan for 20% of their new home’s full price, so they only need a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a 5% deposit. fuel bills. In fact, those opting for a new three-bedroom semi- detached home over its older Victorian counterpart could save themselves upto £890 a year on their energy bills*. Upgrading an existing property to new a new-home specification can cost anything up to £45,000**. Tanks to the availability of Help to Buy, people can move now rather than having to spend years saving up for a heſty deposit.” Help to Buy is available on new-build homes up to the value of £600,000 and there’s no salary cap for purchasers taking advantage of the scheme. Meanwhile, the easymover scheme can take away the worry involved in selling a home. Purchasers can take their pick from a choice of Taylor Wimpey homes and
then let the housebuilder help find a buyer for their current property, usually within just a few weeks and sometimes in as little as a fortnight. Alternatively, Part Exchange customers trading up to selected homes receive an agreed offer price for their existing property, based on an evaluation of independent professional valuations. With Taylor Wimpey acting as their cash buyer, they can then relax in their old place until their brand new home is ready to move into.
