Exclusive styling, extensive equipment and amplifi ed road presence have long been hallmarks of the Audi Black Edition specifi cation, and now it is back by popular demand to lend an even more purposeful air to the new A4 Saloon and Avant. Black Edition versions of both variants can be ordered now, and are the headliners for a broader range of equipment additions benefi ting numerous UK Audi models and forming part of the brand’s 2018 Model Year update programme. The immensely popular Black Edition specifi cation, which was the choice of more than 50 per cent of customers ordering the previous A4 model, is available in combination with the full A4 engine range, from the entry- level 1.4 TFSI with 150PS right up to the most powerful 272PS V6 TDI quattro. It guarantees stand-out appeal through 19-inch fi ve-arm rotor alloy wheels in a matt titanium fi nish (or the no-cost option of 18-inch 10 Y-spoke gloss black alloys), complemented by a titanium black styling pack which extends to the mirror housings, singleframe grille and window surrounds, side skirts, rear spoiler (fi tted to the Saloon) and

Mycarcheck.com reveals top 5 used car colours


A new report by mycarcheck.com has shown the UK’s fi ve most popular used car colours to be: 1) Black 2) Silver 3) Blue 4) White and 5) Grey. It also revealed that two-tone cars are more likely to be stolen. 22.68% of all searches conducted on mycarcheck.com in 2016 were for black cars, an almost identical performance to the previous year, ahead of silver (20.93%) and blue (16.89%). Gavin Amos, head of valuation services at mycarcheck.com, said: “T e top fi ve colours were all about average in terms of write-off , fi nance and stolen risks, but two-tone cars were signifi cantly more likely to be stolen. For example, 5.56% of black & silver cars, and 2.83% of black & red cars, were listed as stolen, compared to a top 20 makes average of 0.92%. T e main reason for this is sporty models tending to have two-tone colour schemes – they’re targeted by thieves because they’re desirable cars. MOTORISTS heading towards the seaside this Bank Holiday could pay fi ve times as much for their car parking if they don’t shop around in advance.
