Warsash Maritime School W
arsash Maritime School, part of Solent University, Southampton has
a long established history of promoting professionalism and excellence in the maritime industry. For over 70 years they have offered maritime professionals first class education and training. Deck, engineering and electro-technical officers benefit from the internationally recognised certification programmes, from officer cadet to Master and Chief Engineer, while the maritime lecturers and technical instructors provide outstanding professional development and STCW safety training. The team are also proud to offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in maritime business, law, shipping and port management, and yacht design and engineering. They pioneered the use of bridge, engine room and liquid cargo operations simulators and lead the way in sophisticated digital educational provision. In the past few years, the school has invested tens of millions of pounds in new facilities, including in the UK’s largest maritime Simulation Centre; new engineering workshops; an ETO lab; and at the Manned Model Ship Handling Centre – the only facility of its kind in the UK.
