TRS lightens up Total Rental Solutions – as seen elsewhere in this issue – has bolstered its lighting portfolio,


investing over £500,000 on Shindaiwa’s Site Bright M1 Series. The portable LED Site Bright M1 series is ideal for use in petrochemical, offshore and


hazardous areas – also utility, quarry and mining, and other heavy industrial applications. Available in 25W and 50W, the M1 can provide up to 9000 lumens of diffused, clear and soft light for any location where there is potential for explosive dust or gas components. Indeed, TRS bought the lights specifically for petrochemical shutdown work and two thirds of the fleet is already out on hire across UK sites. LiuGong launches micro excavator LiuGong, more usually known for its substantial mining and quarrying machinery – including the


almighty 95 tonne 995F – has launched the new 9018F micro excavator. The new machine comes in two variants, both relative flyweights - a canopied


version tipping the scales at 1800kg and an enclosed cab equivalent at 1900kg. Both are powered by an efficient Stage V-compliant Yanmar 3TNV80F-SSLY engine delivering 13.4kW and a max torque of 27.4Nm, while the hydraulic system pumps out 55L/minute. The 9018F has a 1580mm
