Spider Crane Improvements

Maeda, represented in the UK by Kranlyft, has updated two of its spider cranes. The 8.7m lifting height MC285CWM-E-3 now has adjustable

outriggers to better enable working in tight spaces. It also comes with a 7-inch display monitor with slew limit setting and full HBC radio remote control. Its Yanmar diesel engine meets Stage V requirements. For indoor use, the crane is fitted with a power pack which runs off a three-phase supply. However, this can now be removed when not required, reducing the machine’s transport weight. Maeda has also

updated the look and feel of the larger MC305CRM-E-3, along with fitting a Stage V compliant engine. It retains its maximum lifting height of 12.5m.

With the addition of 7m and 8m models, Bobcat now offers a choice of 13 rigid frame telehandler models for applications in construction, rental, recycling, waste and general industry, covering maximum lifting capacities between 2.6 and 4.3 tonnes with lifting heights from 6m to 18m.

Improved Vacuum Lift

Winlet, represented in the UK by Hird, has introduced a replacement to its 350 model. The new Winlet 400TL has better rough terrain capabilities and enhanced hydraulic functions compared to the 350. It can lift horizontal from ground to heights of more than 1m, enabling lifting of glass on and off work benches and tables. Winlet Vacuum Robots are used for lifting all types of airtight

products including glass, plastic, cladding, steel sheets, concrete, marble. Improvements in the 400TL include the ability to use more than one function at once, enabling more precise positioning; as well as the addition of hydraulic side shift and rotation. Hird has added several new units to its own hire fleet, coinciding

with the opening of its West Midlands depot in Halesowen. 01482 227333

The new TL43.80HF increases the lift capacity in the Bobcat

range to 4.3 tonnes, combining this with a maximum lift height of almost 8m. Bobcat says the TL43.80HF benefits from high stability due to the box welded frame, low load centre, long wheel base and new, larger rear counterweight. This has enabled Bobcat to minimize the overall dimensions of the machine, resulting in a width of only 2.3m and a length of less than 5m from the rear to the fork face. Combined with a tight turning radius of 3.71m, it is ideal for working in confined environments.
