TRANSPORT Big Mac

MAC’S Truck Sales was founded in 1973 by its present owner, Alec McDade. It remains to this day, a family run organisation and one of the largest used truck sales establishments in the UK.

“After being in the business for 45 years, you become proficient in listening and watching the marketplace – reading trends and becoming early adopters,” said Alec. “This has resulted in us becoming an industry trailblazer, able to diversify into different aspects of the market effectively when they come to fruition.”

A need for waste vehicles in the form of skip and hook loaders was identified. Through extensive investment of time, money and research – Mac’s Truck’s emerged an industry leader within the field. As is the case with all Mac’s builds, the appetite for improving product efficiency and effectiveness is insatiable – especially when the company branched out into the rental market three years ago.

is due to the unrivalled product quality; fully remote controlled, streamlined and proficient loading arms make light work of heavy cargo and unique self-carrying frames with high tipping angles for increased reliability and versatility.

Due to an amalgamation of success celebrated in both the sales and the rental of the business, Mac’s Trucks relocated to a custom built, 4.6 acre site that caters exactly to their expanding company requirements. It now boasts a 15 bay workshop including a state-of- the-art paint booth and spacious well-lit yard to showcase 120 trucks.

Mac’s Truck’s success has not gone unnoticed, they have been the recipient of the Huddersfield Town Shooting Stars Award and also, Commercial Motors Independent Dealer of the Year with Special Recognition for their Forecourt.
