Go Plant ‘hooks up’ with Boughton
THE UK’s ‘go to’ specialist fleet provider, Go Plant Fleet Services (GPFS), has chosen to work with Boughton Engineering as it seeks to grow its fleet of waste handling vehicles. The company has recently taken delivery of a number of Boughton-equipped CM type hook loaders and one of the first Boughton-McNeilus Front End Loaders (FEL).
GPFS, widely known for its strength in the sweeper, jetter, gully emptier, winter maintenance and RCV sectors, is actively developing and expanding the range of vehicle types it offers across its portfolio – be that on short-term spot rental from a week to 12 months, contract hire for longer periods or total fleet management solutions.
GPFS National Fleet Engineering Director, Phil Quelch, said: “Our company is committed to building on its already strong customer base and reputation for exceptional service – so we went to Boughton not least because of its depth of knowledge and experience.

“The McNeilus FEL has a well-established reputation in the US, and the UK units now coming out of our factory are delivering the same levels of performance.”
The first batch of Boughton hook loaders are mounted on DAF CF series 8x4 chassis and two of the early vehicles were seen recently on show at the Letsrecycle Live Exhibition at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. The new FEL unit is based on an 8x4 Scania chassis. The unit will based out of Go Plant’s Matlock, Derbyshire hub, for operation anywhere across the country – and supported through the company’s network of 48 depots, all of which offer workshop facilities.
