The care sector is a key growth area for the construction industry in the UK, with more than 9,000 bed spaces needed every year, and a current shortfall of around 5,000 spaces. Experts are predicting a huge increase in construction activity over the next few years to meet this demand, with a number of operators already having announced investment, including Frontier Housing, which is developing four schemes for One Housing Group.
