Retail trends to keep an eye on According to fashion website
www.fushr.com the coat trends that will be taking off in 2020 include the following…
Balloon Sleeve
This is a style that features a sleeve fitting tightly from wrist to elbow which becomes fully rounded from elbow to shoulder.
Batwing Sleeve
Coats in this style have sleeves that take on the shape of a batwing, a loose long sleeve with a deep armhole and a tight wrist. According to
www.fushr.com, this style is particularly popular among older women which could be something to bear in mind.
Cloak
Some may not consider a cloak, a coat, but it is still an outerwear garment. A cloak is a sleeveless garment that hangs loosely from the shoulder.
Boyfriend Silhouette
As the name suggests, this style of coat is unisex by nature. Coats of this style have been modified from a corresponding menʼs garment.
Sports Jacket
Athleisure rears its head again here. The sports jacket is expected to be popular in 2020. It is easy to wear and suits most people.
Oversize
This trend has been around for a few years and doesnʼt seem to be going anywhere any time soon. They provide more coverage than a regular coat and can be extremely comfortable. Voluminous designs certainly have an impact.
