Vastex expands V-1000 economy press line to eight stations, eight colours. . .

V

V-1000-88 model. Mark Vasilantone, president, said: "The new V-1000-88 is the only eight-colour manual screen printing press in its class, and costs hundreds less than competitive eight-colour presses while offering greater rigidity and a three-year warranty."

astex has expanded its V-1000 economy line of manual, commercial-grade screen printing presses with a new eight-station, eight-colour

and eight heads can be set up to boost output on a single job, or to print multiple jobs simultaneously. It accepts over 50 Vastex pallets including oversized pallets to 50x60cm for over-sized prints, and heavyweight vacuum pallets for transfers, signage and flat stock.

Strength of the frame and print heads enables the press to support screens up to 60x80cm as well as the company's clamp-on DiGiT Athletic Numbering System that uses two screens with five numbers each for one-colour numbers, or four screens for two-colour numbers.

The rear-clamp press features rubber-coated steel pallets and a unique floating head design that allows all-heads-down printing. With six-way head leveling and tool-free micro registration, it is said to deliver precise multi-colour registration previously limited to machines of significantly higher cost. The five-leg frame with interconnecting service pan provides greater structural integrity and tip resistance than four-leg designs, permitting the addition of pallets and accessories too large or heavy for other presses in this price range. Because the design is modular, the frame can be ordered with any number of print heads and pallet arms, allowing smaller shops to minimise initial cost, and add stations and colours when needs increase. Mr Vasilantone added: "The V-1000-88 is the first press of its kind for shops on a budget to reduce up-front investment without the risk of out-growing the equipment when high capacity, production flexibility or special effects are required." being reclaimed. Offered in two sizes, in 120 or 240V, the kit is optional on new equipment and can be retrofitted to all existing Vastex washout booths and certain other makes. Both the light and switch are IP65-rated as being dust- and water-tight.

Model VWB-LK2 measures 610x51 mm for booth chambers ≤ 1219mm, while Model VWB-LK4, at 1219x102mm, is sized for chambers ≥ 1219mm wide. The units attach to the washout booth upper frame with mounting brackets supplied. Vastex washout booths feature stainless steel construction, frosted acrylic back panels, squeegee shelves and a screen stand-off that holds screens in place during wash-down. An optional vacuum tool removes excess water from screens for quick drying.

GI is set to introduce the Poseidon and Apollon textile printers to its current portfolio.

Poseidon is a new mid-range 1.6m wide sublimation transfer printer which utilises the same industrial Kyocera printheads used in the true industrial DGI HSFT III. This proven technology reliably enables the printer to have up to a 118% speed increase over the DGI FT-1608.

Poseidon is designed for unattended printing supporting a new sleep mode enabling the user to print jobs without being in attendance. This printer is targeted at the mid-level production company who needs a high volume of

Later in the year a mini jumbo roll unit will be available to offer companies even more flexibility with the ability to load 2,500 linear metres of transfer sublimation paper.

Apollon is a new 16 printhead direct to textile printer with production speeds of around 250m sq/hr. This printer will be targeted at the fashion and interior décor sectors.

These printers will be distributed by Sabur Digital in the UK.
