Inks and more… H
aving the printer is all very well and good, but you need top quality inks and consumables to be able to efficiently run your print shop. Thankfully a whole host of innovative products were launched and exhibited at FESPA this year. First time exhibitor Ghost launched its Ghost White Toner at the show. By replacing the black toner cartridge with the Ghost White Toner cartridge every laser printer can be turned into a white toner printer. White designs can then be printed directly onto transfer foils, stickers and coloured paper.
machines fitted with Kyocera print heads. The range consists of 11 vivid colours. Visitors were also able to see on stand Kiian Digitalʼs range of sublimation inks for direct and transfer printing. As well as showcasing its entire portfolio of inks for screen, industrial and inkjet printing, SunChemical also presented its range of four SunTex textile inkjet inks optimised for Epson print heads. Included in this product range is SunTex Sonata DTE, a transfer dye sublimation ink series for printing polyester sport garments, which has recently been awarded the Oeko-Tex EcoPass.
Also on the ink side, MagnaColours showcased its comprehensive range of products on three stands, including those of MHM and M&R, using their machines to exhibit the performance and impressive results of both the machinery and the Magna product range. And finally, Adelco launched a new high production, small footprint dryer called the Dual. This new dryer has separate heat chambers, airflow and exhaust for the top and bottom belts, further increasing the huge throughput capabilities in both digital and
conventional print requirements without
increasing the size of the dryer. The company also had on display four other dryer models on display.
This overview is only
a small selection of the vast number of exciting and game- changing products that were exhibited at the global expo. With this amount of product innovation taking place it is clear to see why the garment decoration industry is currently booming.
