Roland DG UK and Custom Gateway begin integration project

oland DG UK and Custom Gateway have begun the process of integrating a range of their popular hardware and software solutions. The venture will create a fully featured system that enables businesses to easily deliver instantly personalised and customised products on-premise and across all their on- and off- line channels.
The first wave of development will incorporate the VersaUV LEF series of printers (LEF-300, LEF-200, LEF-12i) followed quickly by the VersaStudio (BN-20) desktop inkjet printer and cutter and the Metaza (MPX-95) metal printer. The first integrated systems are expected to be installed in the early summer of 2017.
Jerry Davies, managing director Roland DG EMEA, said: “We have been working towards the consumerisation of the digital imaging industry for many years – this had delivered obvious benefits for our core sign, graphics and industrial customers by making our systems easier to use and more robust. New addition to TheMagicTouchʼs team

iam Courtney has joined

TheMagicTouchʼs support team. Mr Courtney who with over 14 yearsʼ experience in both a technical and retail environment using TMT technology joins to maintain the companyʼs contact and support with customers in the South West region of the UK.

Cotton USA partners with Loughborough University to support future textile talent
I
n partnership with Loughborough University, Cotton USA has launched a competition designed to support and showcase the future talent of the interior, fashion and textiles industries. Second year students
specialising in textiles and fabrics will take part in the Innovation Competition and will receive individual support to develop new and innovative ways of working
with US cotton. Working with US cotton, students will produce a portfolio of original design work, and will be encouraged to experiment with materials and processes in order to develop innovative fabrics. Participants will have the opportunity to present their collections to fellow students, academics and industry representatives later this summer.
