Mimaki adds popular Kebab option to the new UJF MkII printer range M


imakiʼs Kebab option is now available for the new UJF-3042MkII and UJF-6042MkII.


Using rotary rollers, the Kebab option enables printing directly onto a wide range of cylindrical objects and is also available for the UJF-7151plus printer. The UJF-3042MkII is compatible with the Kebab MkII model, while the MkII L model is suitable for use with the UJF-6042MkII and the UJF-7151plus printers. The innovative device enables high quality printing on cylindrical products with diameters from 10mm to 110mm, including wine and water bottles, seals, candles, cosmetics bottles and more, making it possible and affordable to produce

on-demand original products in short or even individual runs. The Kebab option has historically enabled Mimaki customers to be highly creative,


opening up new business and revenue streams in sectors such as the cosmetics industry, where regulatory requirements differ between countries. It also


makes one-off, direct-print labelling affordable; be it for a personalised product or as a gift. Mimaki also highlights the wine bottle sector as a growth area with commemorative and celebratory personalised prints proving popular.


Exclusively distributed in the UK and Ireland by Hybrid Services, the companyʼs national sales manager – Industrial Products, Stuart Cole anticipates a positive take up of the Kebab.

M&R's Gauntlet III is now available in an 18-colour model T


he M&R Companies has begun manufacturing an 18-colour version of its Gauntlet III automatic textile press.


M&R president and CEO Rich Hoffman said: “We believe Gauntlet III is the finest midrange automatic carousel press available. “The Gauntlet line has a long history of bringing unmatched performance and


technological advances to the


midrange press market, and each new version has continued to raise the bar. Like all previous versions, this Gauntlet III was built from the ground up to optimise speed, performance, flexibility, print quality, and durability.” Gauntlet III is available with a maximum standard image area of 48x55cm and a maximum image area of 114x55cm in alternating print heads.

Decorate your balls with TheMagicTouch U


sing the latest in toner-based technology available from TheMagicTouch it is now possible to personalise sports balls with full colour logos and images.


Until now the decoration and personalisation of balls has been mainly restricted to single colour designs applied using traditional PAD printing which involves a degree of setting up and not suitable for photographic images or for individual designs. Using the ProSeries Oki 7411WT white- toner printer and CPM transfer paper full colour images and logos can be applied to almost any type of ball using a modified ball-shaped platen manufactured by A.Adkins. The process

is quick, easy and very durable. Over the past six months TheMagicTouch has successfully conducted various trials with leading European ball manufacturers to ensure the various PU surfaces available are compatible to the low-heat application and remains durable.


Jim Nicol, managing director, explained:


“We recently decorated some 32 panel balls for a local club decorated with team member photos which was very well received and confirmed the great business opportunity to develop over the coming months and years.” Using the white-toner option also enables any non-white panels to be decorated.
