Incorporatewear raises £7,000 for charity in 2016

ast year, Coleshill-based corporate clothing supplier Incorporatewear raised £7,000 for charities including Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support and Ataxia UK. Events included a half marathon, fun runs, coffee mornings and the Three Peaks Challenge.
Highlights included a team of 11 running a 10-kilometre race (just over six miles) in Sutton Coldfield Park in June, raising £1,095 for Cancer Research UK. Staff raised more than £600 for the national charity for people with ataxia, the name given to a group of neurological disorders, during a fun filled charity day, which took take place at Incorporatewearʼs headquarters. Throughout the day, staff hosted bake sales with homemade goods, quizzes and games.

PSI sets records again
Another fundraising event involved the company donating 1,300 pairs of shoes to Salʼs Shoes, a charity that helps impoverished children around the world by providing pre-loved shoes, on behalf of its client Virgin Atlantic. In just under three years, Salʼs Shoes now has more than 100,000 pairs walking again in 32 countries around the world including the UK. The shoes from Virgin Atlantic and Incorporatewear will find their new feet among schoolgirls in need. The first of two consignments were sent to Zimbabwe and Burkina Faso. Ed Grigg, general manager at Incorporatewear, said: “We are proud of the efforts that our people put in to help support charities throughout the year, and we plan to raise more funds this year with a range of new initiatives.”

he leading European show for the promotional products industry, PSI has reported an increase of 6% more exhibitors and 8% more visitors than the 2016 exhibition. PSI took place from January 10 to 12 at Messe Düsseldorf in Germany.
In total, organiser Reed Exhibitions Deutschland counted 988 exhibitors (932 in 2016) and 18,094 visitors (16,810 in 2016), of which 57% were international visitors.
For the first time, industry customers invited by promotional products distributors were granted access to PSI on the last day of the event. Until now, the show was reserved exclusively for promotional products professionals.

Michael Freter, PSI director, said: “An impressive fireworks of creativity was ignited – celebrated almost – at PSI; it just gets you in the mood to work even more intensely with promotional products. If you canʼt find ideas here, youʼll have a hard time finding them at all.” Visitors came from far and wide to attend the exhibition. One visitor, Fanny Martin, managing director of Versopub Ltée, travelled 9,349km from Mauritius to the even in Düsseldorf. She said: “PSI always has been and still is the show for us. Itʼs a must. Without going far, we can meet the industryʼs market leaders and see trends and innovations.”
The next PSI Show will take place in Düsseldorf from January 9 to 11, 2018.
