The Cotton Textile Company is raising the bar for brewery promotional products. P&P reports
ssex based bespoke textiles manufacturer, The Cotton Textile Company, has launched a new venture and fresh site for all brewing industry merchandise. The new division, called Brewery Merchandise, comes as TCTC recently took over the assets of Phoenix Marketing Products, who had led the way in bar and brewery merchandise since the earliest days in the ‘80s. The Cotton Textile Company is industry-leading textile manufacturer with famous names in fashion, lifestyle, and sport using its services. As textile experts, the company is said to produce high quality and ethically manufactured towels, bespoke clothing, socks, home textiles and accessories. Founded in 1987 by Doug Petrie, Phoenix Marketing Products dominated the brewery merchandise business, and at that time the range was limited to parasols, beer mats, pump clips and bar towels. Since then, the drinks industry has moved on and promotional and branding ranges have expanded and developed, allowing for brighter, more colourful designs. The Cotton Textile Company, founded in 2013, is known for producing clothing, socks, and bar towels, and we are probably the biggest provider of bar towels in the UK. So, when Phoenix Marketing Products was looking for its next evolution, it was logical for us to join forces, and Brewery Merchandise was established. Brewery Merchandise has access to the textile experts in The Cotton Textile Company, so creating a business that truly understands the full needs of breweries and drinks producers.
The site launched at the beginning of July, boasting a catalogue of merchandise as well as a bespoke custom product service. From the bar to the beer garden, Brewery Merchandise offers a vibrant array of high-quality promotional products (some pictured) that, alongside their access to the experienced textile experts at TCTC, will be sure to bring bars’ and breweries’ brands to life.

Co-owners Sam and Richard open this new division with experience behind them; The Cotton Textile Company has been manufacturing and supplying bar towels to breweries since 2013, and has worked with well-known industry names from Brewdog to Yates Brewery. Sam and Richard are committed to the growth of the company, so with an ever-growing volume of TCTC’s customers coming from the drinks industry, the co-founders took the decision to create a separate division purely for this sector.
Underpinning this move will be Lisa Cotterrell, who has been welcomed to the TCTC team and knows the drinks industry very well, having been employed at Phoenix Marketing previously. Richard King, sales director, commented: “Lisa’s 19 years of knowledge will add significant weight and experience to the team and product offering, ensuring that TCTC continues to grow within the drinks industry.” “Launched on the 4th July, this is a very exciting and logical move for the company. The whole team is excited to watch Brewery Merchandise hopefully grow into the number one supplier of branded products to the drinks industry,” added Richard.
