DTG vs screenprinting… Right? Direct-To-Garment printing is said to be a modern challenge to the more traditional technique of screenprinting. DTG is simply an addition to the versatile world of industrial textile printing. And the Austrian company proves it with their Hybrid 3.0 printer: The machine combines DTG and screenprinting in one machine, perfectly using the advantages of each technique, while ruling out their disadvantages. The biggest advantage of the Hybrid is the fact, that it does not require any pretreatment: The white underbase is printed with screenprinting paste, while the colourful design is added on top with DTG. One can of course also switch up this process and add beautiful screenprinting applications (devoree, foil, glitter, etc.) on top of DTG prints. The Hybrid offers an output of up to 300 prints on dark garments per hour and a pallet system called “Kyo-To-Screen” which allows you to print your motif directly on the screen, getting rid of the long and diffi cult screen preparation process of traditional screenprinting productions.
