Epson awarded EcoVadis Platinum rating E


pson has earned Platinum rating for sustainability from EcoVadis, a


leading provider of business sustainability ratings.


This is in recognition of the company’s global efforts to uphold the highest standards on the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement, and highlights Epson’s commitment and actions on sustainability. The platinum rating ranks Epson in the top 1% of companies in its industry, particularly excelling in the fi elds of


the environment as well as labour and human rights. Epson’s latest platinum rating refl ects its ongoing commitment and notable improvements towards sustainable growth in the past year. Takanori Inaho, president of Epson Europe, said: “This platinum certifi cation follows our continuous implementation of measurable initiatives aimed at identifying and resolving societal and environmental challenges.

Stocks welcomes new embroidery machine technician


R


ichard Lowe has joined the team at Stocks Sewing Machines as an embroidery machine technician. Mr Lowe will be bringing his expertise to the technical side of Stocks’ embroidery division, enhancing the provider’s commitment to delivering exceptional products and services to customers. Mr Lowe joins Stocks with over 40 years of experience in the technical maintenance of commercial and industrial embroidery machinery. He started his career as an apprentice embroidery machine technician at Geoffrey E Machperson. After qualifying, he travelled worldwide installing and servicing Barudan industrial embroidery machines and other textile equipment. After 23 years, Mr Lowe moved to GS UK, where he travelled the UK and Ireland as a skilled technician working with the Brother PR Series commercial embroidery machines.

Andrew Stocks, director at Stocks Sewing Machines, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Richard to our team. Silver EcoVadis Medal awarded to Nazdar

During its most recent evaluation of Nazdar, EcoVadis looked at the ongoing efforts by the business to become more sustainable, as well as its plans to implement further environmental programs. EcoVadis was suitably impressed with Nazdar’s approach and awarded the company a silver medal to recognise its work. The award puts Nazdar in the top 10% of companies assessed by EcoVadis.
