www.gs-uk.com Resolute R-Jet PRO DTF UV
Decorating even the most unusually shaped products
The Resolute R-Jet PRO DTF UV produces UV transfers that can be applied to a wide range of hard products. When producing transfers, it prints onto a 60x100m roll of DTF fi lm that is coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive. The prints are then automatically sealed with a peelable laminate before exiting the printer. The fi lm can be kiss cut on a standard vinyl cutter, this speeds things up if small labels are being produced, by making them easier to peel from the backing sheet. Once the fi lm exits the printer, it is ready to use immediately or alternatively, they can be stored for later use. The DTF UV transfer process applies only the ink with the pressure sensitive adhesive to the product, regardless of shape or size. This makes printing diffi cult shapes, including some conical products, very simple and there is no weeding or app tape to worry about. DTF UV transfers can be applied anywhere. This means that products, which are usually impossible to feed and print through a standard fl atbed UV printer, can be decorated. Decorative plates are a prime example, the concave structure makes it impossible to print with traditional UV printers. DTF UV can also include texture and variable data that older technology like screen and pad printing cannot achieve. Items such as mugs, trophies, water bottles, boxes, car parts, golf clubs, hard hats, skate boards, boats, tools, windows, mirrors, phones, laptops, makeup, hairdryers, taps and alarm boxes are all possible – your imagination really is the limit.

tranSMART Direct to paper example
Pick your transfer
Heat applied transfers are everchanging, revolutionised more recently with the introduction of DTF (direct to fi lm) and the quality that it produces. tranSMART has been using similar processes for many years, however with the added benefi t of printing onto FSC Certifi ed paper – coining the phrase DTP (direct to paper). With this development a whole host of added benefi ts become available. The cost to the customer is reduced dramatically, eco-credentials are boosted via the water-based backing inks and FSC Certifi ed paper (as opposed to the more commonly used plastic fi lm), and the production capacity becomes almost limitless. With DTP transfers by tranSMART arriving at the customers’ door fully guillotined and in biodegradable bags, all that is required is a heat press and people can begin embellishing.
The quality, stretch and feel of the fi nished product is market leading, with a test being conducted by Bureau Veritas each and every week to ensure the gold standard in transfer production is constantly met. Not to mention the multitude of products that tranSMART transfers can be applied to.
