types using any machine brand and any decoration technique has enabled customers to scale their businesses profitably and sustainably, the companies note.

New 3-litre ink system to increase productivity and enhance automation of Mimaki JFX600-2513 printer
M
imaki has introduced a new 3-litre external ink supply option for the Mimaki
JFX600-2513 large-format flatbed UV inkjet printer.
This new ink system has been designed to enable JFX600-2513 customers to maximise production efficiency and improve automation for a more streamlined, productive print operation.
The 3-litre ink system has been developed with one of Mimaki’s core objectives for the future of its technology portfolio at the forefront – to support the automation of its customers’ printing processes. An automatic white ink circulation system included in the 3-litre ink unit eliminates the need for manual shaking. Additionally, weight sensors enable operators to measure the remaining ink levels of the JFX600-2513 more accurately, preventing unnecessary ink waste. Mark Sollman, product manager EMEA, Mimaki Europe, said: “To be able to better connect technology, make it more intuitive and allow for a more seamless, efficient transition from when a customer places an order to its’ delivery has

clear long-term business benefits. An automated workflow enables printers to improve their production processes, therefore reducing delivery times and allowing them the increased production capacity to take on new business. With this new 3-litre ink unit, JFX600-2513 customers can further minimise downtime and speed up delivery times especially in higher volume print environments, helping them to become more efficient, versatile and profitable.”
This optional unit will be commercially available globally in January 2023.
Mimaki is exclusively distributed in the UK and Ireland by Hybrid Services.
Tas Tsonis, co-founder of Pulse and now managing director of the newly established TSS, will continue to drive the technology vision at TSS, along with Pulse co-founder Brian Goldberg and executive Claude Vlandis.
Mr Tsonis added: “We’re excited to join the Tajima team and participate in its vision of transforming the product decorating industry with innovative solutions elevating scalability and sustainability. Pulse has partnered with Tajima for more than 20 years in the development of its advanced embroidery software technologies. Together, Tajima and Pulse are executing on our shared vision of providing innovative complete solutions for product decorators.”
Kingly makes the move to 24-hour production
Kingly’s factory K
ingly has recently expanded its production capacity by 200% and from mid-October will run its production line 24 hours a day. This round-the-clock manufacturing will start with revised shift patterns that give the production teams an equal share of shifts and are in full accord with SMETA PILLAR 4 standards.
Rotating shift schedules has been shown to strengthen teams and expand the collective knowledge base. Working a model of teams of four or five people over 24 hours means Kingly can use three shifts or two 12-hour shifts, to provide 24/7 shift pattern cover. Staff welfare remains an equal priority with top-quality production.

These new patterns of production will revolutionise Kingly’s ability to respond quickly to customer demand. The industry standard turnaround for the production of custom knitted socks is approximately six weeks, with Kingly able to produce lead times from only two weeks.
