What’s New: Craghoppers

Craghoppers and English Heritage partnership continues to flourish

C

raghoppers is delighted to announce the renewal of its 3-year partnership with English Heritage. Craghoppers has provided English Heritage with £1 million worth of outerwear to help the charity keep its 3,700 site- based staff and volunteers warm and dry at over 400 iconic historic sites across England.

The outerwear comprises waterproof jackets, softshell and fleece. Often working at ruined castles and abbeys, stone circles and stately homes, English Heritage staff and volunteers are exposed to the elements day in, day out. Hard-wearing, long-lasting outerwear is instrumental in keeping them protected whatever the weather throws at them.

The Expert Kiwi Pro Stretch Long Jacket is English Heritage’s choice to keep dry in. This longer- length jacket features an AquaDry Membrane and planted based DWR for year-round protection from the rain whilst working at some of English Heritage’s historical sites. The jacket comes with six roomy pockets for keeping essentials close. The jacket’s adjustable hood, hem and cuffs help to create a seal against cold and rainy weather, which make the Expert Kiwi Pro Stretch Long Jacket a key piece of kit for outdoors work.

The Expert Basecamp Softshell provides versatility for staff and volunteers both indoors and outdoors. The jacket’s warming striped microfleece back and a part recycled polyester softshell, with a plant- based water repellent finish combine to offer an excellent insulation and range of motion for active work. This softshell has three zipped pockets to keep essentials close by, and a full- length zip with inner zip guard features with inner drawcord hem adjusters and elastic bound cuffs help trap the warmth in and keep the cold out. To keep warm in, English Heritage opted for the Expert Corey 200 Fleece

Jacket. A classic in the range for Craghoppers Expert, this fleece is made with 100% recycled microfleece with recycled zip tapes. Soft to the touch and designed with an active fit, the Expert Corey 200 Fleece Jacket is ideal for long wears that require plenty of movement. With two roomy zipped pockets to keep essentials close by and a full-length zip to keep warmth in and cold air out, this fleece is the perfect year-round insulator that can be layered under a waterproof jacket. James McNamara, Brand Director for Craghoppers, said “We are delighted to be supporting English Heritage with our winter weather kit. The staff and volunteers really bring to life the rich history of our great country to millions of visitors, and they can be found working in all weathers, so they need protecting. We have chosen, in collaboration with English Heritage, 3 essential pieces of kit which we believe will do the job!”

As part of the partnership, Craghoppers will be working with new EH Ambassadors each year, from some of their iconic sites, to give a true insight of life working at these stunning locations. Craghoppers audience will get to know the different people and their roles, as well as finding out about what they enjoy doing, outside of the 9-5. The brand will also help to create three new short films, showcasing all that is amazing about the different sites. Catherine Alsing, corporate partnerships manager for English Heritage, said: “Our colleagues are exposed to all kinds of weather during their working day. We are delighted that Craghoppers is continuing to generously support English Heritage over the next three years, helping our staff and volunteers to stay warm and dry - no matter the weather.”
