Puy du Fou España supplied by Puy du Fou International Since its opening in 2019, the nighttime show “El Sueño de Toledo” has established itself as a cultural monument in the heart of Spain. Located just minutes from the city of Toledo, this nighttime show in the great outdoors is not only the largest in Spain but also represents an exciting journey through 1,500 years of Spanish history. It is a masterful fusion of historical narrative, advanced technology, and performing arts, designed to captivate and educate a global audience.
“El Sueño de Toledo” is a visual and emotional odyssey that transports spectators through time. The story begins with the young washerwoman María del Sagrario, who meets an old water carrier from Toledo. Together, they embark on a journey that revisits the great moments of Spanish history, from the Visigothic reign to the Arab period of the taifa king Al-Mamún and the era of the Catholic Monarchs. This journey includes crucial milestones such as the discovery of America, the Spanish War of Independence, and the Roaring Twenties, all represented with impressive historical and emotional fidelity.
Since its debut, “El Sueño de Toledo” has received international recognition for its excellence. In 2021, it was awarded Best Show in Europe, followed by the IAAPA Brass Ring Awards in the Most Creative Theatrical Production category in 2022.
Jaderpark supplied by Gerstlauer Amusement Rides The Bobsled Coaster, a groundbreaking type of roller coaster, was individually designed according to our requirements. Each of the 6 gondolas accommodates 4 people in 2 rows behind each other and can transport up to 600 people per hour at maximum capacity. A revolutionary innovation of this roller coaster type is the launch element, which occurs shortly after the beginning of the journey. After a brief stop, the vehicle accelerates backwards at 4.5 m/s. Following the reverse launch, the vehicle passes through the launch element again and is accelerated a second time, this time to 9 m/s. Another notable feature alongside the various driving elements is the non-inverted Immelmann, installed for the first time in a bobsled coaster.
Subsequently, the chain lift transports riders to a height of 21 meters. The track extends over a length of approximately 500 meters, with one section being traversed twice due to the backwards launch, resulting in an actual driving distance of approximately 550 meters. This occurs within a travel time of about 1.5 minutes. The top speed of the Ziegekblitz is around 55 km/h.
