INDUSTRY ICON (OPERATOR) LAURENT ALBERT FROM PUY DU FOU
Laurent Albert has been part of Puy du Fou since its creation. He began his adventure at the age of 17 in December 1977 as a Puyfolais (volunteer) in the night show “La Cinéscénie”. Noticed by Philippe de Villiers for his talents as a handyman, Laurent gave up his studies in electronics and became Puy du Fou’s first employee in 1981. He was the technical director of the Puy du Fou association for 21 years (1981 – 2002). The first shows of the Puy du Fou park (created in 1989) were launched at the instigation of Laurent: a horse-acrobatics show, a falconry show - and Laurent also designed the world’s first water jet image projection. The year 2000 marked a turning point: the creation of
the Gallo-Roman stadium, a 7,000-seat reproduction of the Colosseum in Rome, put Puy du Fou in the big league. Laurent became CEO of Puy du Fou in 2002, and now acts as special advisor for Puy du Fou as of 2022.
