Awards Supplement www.parkworld-online.com BEST RIDE(S) OF THE YEAR

AVALON THE NEXT CHAPTER AT TOVERLAND SUPPLIED BY INTAMIN, ZAMPERLA, GERSTLAUER, METALLBAU EMMELN

The expansion of the Avalon themed area is really outstanding. It features four new rides, two new playgrounds and five interactive experiences consisting of small sceneries which the guests can interact with. The all set up is associated with a nice theming and beautiful green spaces (lots of

flowers), perfectly integrated in the existing area. Lots of details in the theming, such as paintings under the roof of the carousel. Toverland has done a wonderful job on this project, working with a different

supplier for each ride (Gerstlauer, Intamin, Zamperla, Metallbau Emmeln), which was a good idea to offer a diversity of ride experiences to the guests. The two major rides have covered preshows in which guests are grouped before entering the rides, which help operations to go faster and have a better flow. The Gerstlauer Sky Fly is spectacular, being built in the centre of the wing coaster helix. There is also a screen showing the number of rotations made by every rider at the end of each ride. Clever!
