The back-to-back seating

revolution Discover how Mack Rides’ Airific enhances capacity and guest experience

I

n the world of theme park attractions, maximising both guest experience and ride capacity has always been a delicate balancing act. Mack Rides, the pioneering

German amusement ride manufacturer, has unveiled a game-changing solution with their groundbreaking innovation – Airific. At the core of this extraordinary flying theatre experience is the back-to-back seating arrangement, a design that not only elevates the capacity of the theatre but also enhances the overall guest experience.

Maximising space utilisation Traditional theme park rides often require substantial land and infrastructure to accommodate the ride structure, queue lines, and other operational elements. This can be a significant challenge for theme parks, especially those situated in urban or space-constrained locations. Airific, however, has been engineered to address this issue.

• Vertical Orientation: Airific is designed with a vertical layout and a central unit where all benches, motors and wiring is combined. This vertical orientation allows it to be situated in areas where ground space is at a premium.

• Efficient Loading and Unloading: The back-to- back seating arrangement, a hallmark of Airific, ensures an efficient flow of guests without the need for sprawling loading platforms. This streamlined process reduces the area required for queuing, boarding, and disembarking. While other systems need multiple cinemas to accommodate a certain capacity, Airific uses much less space with the same parameters.

• Adaptability: Airific’s flexible design can be customised to fit within the available space in the theme park. Its adaptable nature allows park operators to maximise the utilisation of their land resources without sacrificing the quality of the ride experience. The number of seats per bench and the number of stories can be selected by the customer.
