John Burton: World of Jumanji brings to life iconic scenes from the Jumanji films, where guests will discover a brand-new immersive land featuring thrilling new rides and a themed bazaar of Jumanji-inspired games

CW: Tell us about Mandrill Mayhem. What makes it special? JB: Mandrill Mayhem is the highlight attraction of the new land and is the first of its kind - a quadruple launch, inverting winged roller coaster by B&M. The ride track encompasses the land, creating a constant feeling of movement in the space. The ride spirals around the iconic Jaguar shrine, a 55ft concrete themed feature that overlooks the entire land. Mandrill Mayhem adds multiple new ride experiences for Chessington World of Adventures guests, launching them at up to 70 kmph with winged seating offering both forwards and backwards travel. And, with a 1.2m height restriction, this will most likely be the first ever upside-down roller-coaster experience for many younger riders!
CW: Can you tell us more about what else guests can expect when they enter World of Jumanji? JB: Alongside Mandrill Mayhem, there are also two themed flat rides inspired by iconic scenes from the Jumanji films. The first is Mamba Strike, an SBF Rides Top Dancer which will have guests dodging the fangs of a giant mamba snake in the bazaar. Then there’s Ostrich Stampede, an SBF
