Skyline’s line of P’Sghetti Bowl roller coaster The twin-tracked attraction roller coaster’s
large storyboards and Skyline’s exclusive Aurora lighting package helps immerse riders in their own comic book story. The innovative and unique weld-free, single-rail track design makes the new coaster product a winning design for Skyline. The simplified fabrication process, and ability to custom fit the attraction earned the company a Brass Ring Award for Best New Product during IAAPA Expo 2023.
Villain-Con Minion Blast All creatures small and yellow celebrated the grand opening of Minion Land on Illumination Avenue at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida. The interactive Villain-Con
Minion Blast features the villains from the hit film, Minions: The Rise of Gru and invites guests to try to join them. Complete with larger than life immersive sets and fun-filled game-based technology, the attraction transports guests along a motion-based pathway that puts them right in the middle of the action. Each guest uses an exclusive E-Liminator X blaster to shoot Freeze Rays, Banana Bombs, Explosive Nunchucks to earn points, and to ultimately see if they are ready to join the infamous Vicious 6. To add to the mischief making, Villain-Con Minion Blast is also the first park attraction to feature a connected gameplay experience via The Official Universal Orlando Resort App, allowing guests to sync their blaster to
the app just before embarking on the adventure. Tracking scores, taking part in special missions and unlocking extra powerful blasts both enhance the experience – and provide more reasons for repeat visits.
Where is the Bear? Five years ago, Dollywood’s Dreamer-in- Chief Dolly Parton announced the park was embarking on its largest expansion ever. A year later, 11 new family experiences opened as part of Wildwood Grove, and in 2023, the themed area continued to expand with the grand opening of the park’s longest roller coaster to date, Big Bear Mountain.
