Haichang Group saw a change of
ownership, with Xiangyuan Holdings Group becoming the controlling shareholder of the company. Haichang Group has of late shifted to an asset-light model of developing aquariums and sea life attractions on behalf of local governments and investors. In Macao, the City of Dreams Macao
revamped its signature show, The House of Dancing Waters, opening in 2025. The House of Dancing Waters offers lighting and projection upgrades, as well as pre-show performer interactions. The 2000-seat venue was overhauled to create better visibility from all seats and to create a more choreographed, interactive experience.
Also in Macao, MGM integrated report opened Macau 2049, a brand new 80-minute multimedia residency show at the MGM Theatre. The MGM Theatre
features 900 square meters of 4k ultra-high- definition LED screen and dynamic theatre staging and sets. The show integrates traditional Chinese theatre arts with high-tech multimedia. In Bangkok, Thailand, Asiatique Riverfront opened a Jurassic World: The Experience indoor immersive experience. Developed by Neom out of Singapore, Jurassic World: The Experience has launched in five cities around the world. The Bangkok experience incorporates a highly themed environment, with interactive dinosaur exhibits and even a themed restaurant. Universal Studio Singapore is in the midst of a significant renovation and upgrade program as part of a larger US$6.8 billion capex program for the overall resort complex. The Minion Land opened in February 2025 to much success with unique attractions, themed retail and dining.
The Super Nintendo World Singapore is under construction, modelled after the hit Nintendo theme zones in Universal Japan and the Epic Orlando.
The emerging Asia hot spot Vietnam Vietnam is emerging as the hottest attraction market in Asia, with several prominent developers expanding their theme attractions base. With a young and dynamic population, a growing economy, employment and resurgence of international tourism, Vietnam has a quickly growing leisure economy. Sun Group is rapidly expanding its tourism and attraction offerings in Phu Quoc Island and Danang.
